Bradford Fire Station

Bradford Fire Station is situated on Leeds Road and was opened by Mr Gerry Sutcliffe MP on 8th June 2007, replacing the fire station on Nelson Street in Bradford city centre.

Serving the wards of City, Bolton and Undercliffe, Bowling and Barkerend, Bradford Moor, Eccleshill and Manningham, the station’s aim is to provide the best service to our local areas. By working with community groups, delivering fire safety education in our schools and visiting households to conduct Safe and Well checks, the station strives to deliver a holistic service to meet the needs of our community reducing the risk to life, property and the environment from fire and other emergencies.

Our operational crews and support staff at Bradford station provide fire safety information and guidance at many local events.

The station has 2 aerial appliances and 2 fire appliances supported by a Watch Commander in a 4 x 4 vehicle.

Personnel at the station are made up of a Station Commander, Station Clerk and 48 firefighters across 4 Watches, (or shifts) who provide emergency cover throughout the year, 24 hours a day.

2 Fire engines in Fire Station.

Bradford’s district operational team is also based on the station, made up of the District Operational Commander, 5 Assistant District Commanders, District Support Officers and District Clerk.

The team works alongside operational crews and the Fire Prevention Team within Bradford district to deliver a proficient and professional service, which responds to the needs of our local communities and helps to ensure that the people of Bradford and its surrounding areas are kept safe and well.
