Water rescue. 1 casualty rescued from river Aire near Concordia Street. Specialist teams from Leeeds and Rothwell plus appliances from Hunslet in attendance. Water rescue boat used to rescue casualty.
Elderly male in water in lock - rescued by firefighters and specialist water rescue team and taken to waiting ambulance by stretcher.
Report of 1 male in the River Aire. Caller to Fire Service had thrown a rope/cable to the male and male was holding onto the rope. Water Rescue Crews attended and rescued the male who was then transported to hospital by ambulance.
Call received from an adult female who had fallen down a cliff edge into the River Wharfe
The caller stated she had a broken arm and was unable to get out of the water. Fire control operator remained on the line reassuring the caller until fire crews arrived the incident.
Reports received of a female in difficulty in water near the Centenary Bridge in Leeds. Throw lines used by a member of public on scene but female was unable to exit the water unaided.
Crews from the fire service arrived and successfully rescued 1 female casualty from the water, conscious and breathing, using a rescue sled. Casualty was then placed in the care of Yorkshire Ambulance Service.
