Description:
House fire, persons reported, 2 occupiers trapped in upstairs front bedroom, they were given fire survival guidance by the control operator who took the call. Ground floor was 50% involved in fire, 4 breathing apparatus, 2 hose reels and a positive pressure ventilation fan where used to extinguish the fire. Both occupiers where rescued by a short extension ladder from 1st floor window by firefighters and given oxygen by fire service personnel prior to the arrival of the ambulance. 1 hamster rescued and revived by firefighters. A specialist fire investigation officer attended the incident to ascertain cause of fire and is re-visiting the incident in daylight hours.
