The Annual Emergency Services Show is back – and better than ever! The show is taking place this year on 30th July 2022 and due to the Birkenshaw rebuild project, is moving to its temporary new venue, at Roundhay Park in Leeds.
West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service have joined forces with West Yorkshire Police and Yorkshire Ambulance Service for the event which will allow the emergency services and other partners to show off all the great work they do – from simulating rescues to allowing families to look round blue light vehicles.
The event has something for all ages and all members of the family, and will also feature fairground rides, food concessions, donkey rides and much more!
The gate price is £2 adults and £1 children aged four and over. The show will run from 11am until 5pm.
Chief Fire Officer John Roberts said: “This event has always been a great success and I am thrilled to see it return following a break due to the pandemic.
“It’s a shame for us that it won’t be at our Birkenshaw venue but think Roundhay park will provide a great setting to give the public an insight into the various roles and specialisms of the emergency services.
It will also raise funds for the Firefighters Charity which is a hugely worthwhile cause.”
