Highrise Flat Fire

Crews attended a flat fire within a high-rise premise following a call to smoke coming out of the window and reports of a person within the property unable to leave. Crews from Killingbeck, Leeds and an aerial appliance from Bradford were mobilised to the incident and upon arrival it was noted that there were several items on fire. An elderly male casualty who was conscious and breathing was rescued by fire crews from the property. Crews used 1 hose reel and 2 breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire. Fire investigation was assigned to the incident to determine the cause of fire. Ambulance service attended and took the male casualty to hospital, Police were also in attendance.
