Description:
A West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We have received several calls this morning to flames being seen on Marsden Moor near Deer Hill. It is thought the area has reignited following last week's fires in that area. Crews currently in attendance are wildfire specialists from Slaithwaite, Skelmanthorpe, Todmorden and Holmfirth. The all-terrain Polaris is also in attendance and firefighters are using beaters and blowers to help extinguish the flames of the burning area, which measures 50 square meters. Members of the public are being advised to stay away from this area of the moor for their own safety.”
