System Development Supervisor
Fire Service Headquarters Birkenshaw
£26,067 - £27,594 (Pay Award Pending)
As a key member of the Data Team the postholder will oversee all Data Team system developments in addition to managing, supporting and configuring the Authorities SAP HR system. Duties of the role include working alongside consultants and supervising developers to implement and project managing various Authority wide IT system solutions.
Applicants will possess SAP HR configuration skills and have supervisory and project management experience. An appropriate supervisory management qualification or equivalent level of experience is a pre-requisite.

Data Processing Assistant
Fire Service Headquarters, Birkenshaw
£17,781- £18,907 (Pay Award Pending)
As a key member of the Data Team the postholder will be required to produce various tactical plans and drawings in connection with operational Firefighting requirements. Duties of the role include processing data into formats compatible with the Authorities mobile data programme and assisting with Geographical Information System outputs and data manipulations.
Applicants will possess technical experience and specialist knowledge in the use and function of databases and IT applications and demonstrate competence in using Geographical Information Systems e.g. MapInfo (for which training can be provided). The successful candidate will be qualified to NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a computing and/or statistical related subject or be willing to work towards this qualification.

Risk and Information Supervisor

£28,172 - £29,728 (Pay Award Pending)
As a key member of the Data team the postholder will be responsible for developing comprehensive and robust reporting systems to provide risk analysis information and reports from various corporate data sources. The duties of the role will include participating in the design, development and reporting of fire safety and incident research studies in order to respond to a broad range of statistical issues.
You will have proven practical experience in the application of advanced
statistical techniques which support reports and recommendations and possess supervisory experience to co ordinate and develop a small team. The successful applicant will be qualified to degree level in a relevant discipline or possess equivalent experience. An appropriate management/supervisory qualification or equivalent level of experience is a pre-requisite.

Community Relations and Local Area Agreement Manager

West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service is a forward thinking organisation that sees effective community relations and partnership working as key to its continued success. As Community Relations Manager you will lead on the development and implementation of strategies, policies and improvement plans for the service, including partnerships, safeguarding, community education and service delivery to those most vulnerable to injury or death by fire. You will take the lead in working with local partners and the Audit Commission to develop the Authorities approach to Corporate Area Assessments.
For the post, you will need leadership and management skills, as well as the ability to influence, negotiate and successfully lead and adapt to change. Experienced and with a record of achievement in the key service areas and performance improvement, you will shape the future strategic direction of the Community Relations Department, working closely with partners and stakeholders.
